In both cases my task as a member of the IT Helpdesk was to ensure the proper flow of work of the approximately 500-700 users by solving the eventual hardware and software problems, renewing old and installing new workstations, installing, configuring specific applications, remote administrations and problem solving. Fields of knowledge Operating Systems: Windows Ce/Mobile, 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, and several Linux distributions (Ubuntu and variations, SUSE). Wireless Technologies: Bluetooth, GPRS, HSDPA/HSUPA Programming: basic level PHP, JAVA, Visual Basic Web: HTML, CSS IBM Power Systems Outside school activities I have entered, by the recommendation of my theachers, the annual Simonyi Károly Competition in Electrical Engineering in 2005. In the same year I have also participated in the Sun and the Danube intercultural program which is about the usage of alternative energy (Solar power, wind power, energy cells…), and finding new applications for it. I presented my essay about the actual situation at the closing conference of the project held in Ulm, Germany, at the Robert-Bosch-Schule. Free time activities In most of my free time I help my environment to get along with computers, solve computer related problems, and I’m giving advice on buying consumer electronics. When I have some time on my own I like surfing on the net and reading books, I also like Japanese animations, but my most favourite way of spending free time is to experiment with consumer electronics, to see what are they fully capable of, and what’s needed to use them to the fullest. I often build (application dependent) computers. Objectives In general I would like to work in the IT service field as co-worker at a stable, prospering company which provides many opportunities, good working conditions, continuing professional education, and – not the least – good payment. Since I am new on the job market, my professional experience is limited to the work done on summer jobs and at home. Whichever company will employ me I’m determined to continue my professional studies in the required field (Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, etc. qualifications). My plans include a Master degree in the field of IT security, at the Zrínyi Miklós national defence university. Personal remarks: According to my teachers I’m a fast learning, quality oriented person with good problem solving ability and self-supportive thinking. I hope they are right. |
